Lanzarote is the easternmost island of the Canary Archipelago (Spain). More than 120,000 people live in this territory overflowing with contrasts. It is an especially attractive tourist destination due to its climate, beaches, its modern accommodations and the indelible stamp left behind by the artist César Manrique.

Lanzarote is a flat, volcanic island with very little vegetation, dominated by lava fields produced by volcanic eruptions in the first third of the 18th Century. Some of these fields are found in Timanfaya National Park in Lanzarote. Lanzarote and the rest of the Canary Islands is a must see region located at the crossroads between Europe, Africa and America.

Five islets lie to the north of Lanzarote called the Chinijo Archipelago (Little Archipelago).
